MT. VERNON — — Christmas in the Park began Friday night at Veterans Memorial Park, with scenes from the birth of Jesus to his resurrection. There were also scenes featuring Santa and snowmen and other secular displays. Visitors can drive through the park to look at the display tonight as well, from 6 to 8 p.m. This year 11 churches participated in the display.
