Board members appointed to committees

MT. VERNON — — Jefferson County Board members were appointed to committees recently.

On Dec. 3, County Board Chairman Robert White and Vice Chairman Don Rector were elected and sworn in.

White appointed the board members to the county’s six committees.

The committees are:

This is the first time the board was seated with 13 members, due to county redistricting. The County Board is Steve Draege, Republican, serving a two-year term; Joey McDermott, Republican, serving a four-year term; Tommy Hayes, Republican, serving a four-year term; John Keele, Republican, serving a four-year term; Randy Edwards, Republican, serving a four-year term; Jeff Williams, Republican, serving a two-year term; Jim Laird, Democrat, serving a two-year term; Don Rector, Democrat, serving a two-year term; Robert White, Republican, serving a four-year term; Bob Watt, Republican, serving a two-year term; Jeremy Hall, Democrat, serving a two-year term; Wayne Hicks, Democrat, serving a four-year term; and James Malone, Democrat, serving a four-year term.
