This week marks the deadline for reservations to the United Methodist Children's Home Centennial Celebration dinner, which will be held Saturday at Holiday Inn in Mt. Vernon.
The evening will start with fellowship, followed by dinner and entertainment from the Courtney Cox Trio And Friends. Then a short video containing testimonies and stories from Joe Bob Pierce, Bill Causer, Margaret Farmer, Don Farmer, Evertt Atkinson, Chris Youngblood and Clete Winkelmann will be shown.
"We want to honor men and women who have dedicated their lives to helping children in need," said Gary Lemmon, UMCH President/CEO. "We frequently think of how different we are from our past, but it is important to see that the overall mission and ministry have not changed in 100 years."
The dinner is $60 per person or $600 for a table of 10. Reservations should be made by Saturday on the UMCH website, www.umchome.com or by contacting Randy Winn at 242-1070, ext. 223 or email@example.com.
