Withrow said she looks forward to seeing the little dogs and their owners dressed in superhero costumes because it’s going to be cute.
Williams said there will be a photo booth set up at the event with a superhero backdrop.
“People can get pictures of themselves with their dogs, we have a volunteer photographer from a local veterinarian hospital taking the pictures,” Williams said.
If you don’t own a dog of your own, you can “adopt for the day” at the event, which Williams said was a kid favorite last year.
There are several activities during the event, including live music, refreshments and local vendors with pet and human related products.
Luminaria bags may also be purchased at the walk for the annual Relay event June 13.
All are encouraged to attend and enjoy the day with their family by raising awareness for the American Cancer Society.
“We had a pretty big turnout last year but we are hoping for an even bigger one this year,” Williams said.
