MT. VERNON — Approximately 150 temp-to-hire positions for a local automotive manufacturer based in Mt. Vernon are being filled by a local employment agency.
Pyramid Staffing, located in the U.S. Bank Building on South 10th Street, is accepting applications at its office.
All candidates must provide a high school diploma, GED, high school transcripts with graduation date, or college transcripts and pass drug and background checks, information states.
“We are looking for individuals with previous labor experience in backgrounds similar to mining, construction, industrial, engine/machinery repair, quality assurance and forklift/machinery operators. These qualities are recommended, but not required,” stated Pyramid local manager Katelyn Pfeister.
Compensation ranges from $10 to $15 per and temp-to-hire positions at $15 per hour for those who qualify and are selected for the program. Temp-to-hire time from Pyramid to client averages three to six months, information states.
Application may be completed at the Pyramid office from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays.
Pyramid Staffing will also be attending the IDES and Congressman William Enyart’s sponsored job fair from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 11. It will be in the “K” atrium at Shawnee Community College in Ullin. It will be for veteran only job seekers from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and for the general public from 10 a.m. to noon.
Office hours for Pyramid Staffing are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with staff available during business hours for questions.
