“The principal and department heads did the interviewing and came back with strong recommendations,” Miller said. “The board is pleased with who we hired.”
The five positions were posted at the end of March and numerous applications were received. The social science teacher position netted over 90 applications.
“It’s a time-consuming but important process,” said MVTHS Principal Wes Olson of evaluating the applicants. “It’s something where you find a good fit for the school and for the candidates.”
In addition to Davis’ letter, the school board Monday also accepted the following resignations: David Junkins, boys tennis coach; Jeff Harrision, head boys and girls soccer coach; Jacob Flick, online learning coordinator; and Don Bond, cook.
