MT. VERNON —
The annual Life Chain will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, from 2 to 3 p.m. on Broadway.
Participants will silently hold signs in support of pro-life “as we celebrate the sanctity of life for people in all stages of life,” information states.
More than 1 million Americans and Canadians will be life-chaining on that day.
Those who participate will line up along the south side of Broadway on the sidewalks east and west of the Medicine Shoppe. Participants are asked not to stand on the grass.
If participants are part of a church group assigned to a particular block of Broadway, they are to meet at that site; if a participant is not assigned to a group, meet at the Medicine Shoppe parking lot. Someone from assigned groups should pick up signs at the business before 2 p.m. and return them at 3 p.m.
