A schedule of public forums to be held over two days to view and discuss proposed designs for the new Mt. Vernon Township High School was released Friday afternoon, school officials said.
“The current vision, programming and concepts will be presented to foster dialogue with all stakeholders. These discussions will center on over two years of research, reflection and critical dialogue conducted by the district board, administration, teachers, and experts in the field of school design,” officials said in a prepared statement announcing the schedule.
“As the conceptual phase concludes, the district invites public feedback and input to ensure the new school final design reflects the priorities and needs of the community which it will serve,” officials said.
The forums are scheduled for Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. There will be afternoon sessions from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and evenings sessions from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. General sessions will provide a concept and design overview and breakout sessions will focus on four areas.
Attendees are invited to participate in all or portions of scheduled sessions.
