Good Samaritan Regional Health Center is urging parents and caregivers to make sure their child safety seat is properly installed by hosting an inspection today.
The inspection will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kroger parking lot. Good Samaritan Regional Health Center will have certified technicians available to provide free hands-on child safety seat inspections and advice.
The event is sponsored by the Illinois Department of Transportation Division of Traffic Safety, Good Samaritan Regional Health Center OB Department, Project Child and the Mt. Vernon Fire Department.
“It is the responsibility of every parent and caregiver to ensure their children are safetly restrained — every trip, every time,” said Stacy Minor, RN and Good Samaritan Regional Health Center Car Seat Program coordinator. “We are urging everyone to have their child safety seats inspected. When it comes to the safety of a child, there is no room for mistakes.”
