BENTON — An Elkville man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with a shooting Friday night that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Brittany Andrews of Whittington, according to published reports.
Donald A. Lee, 39, was arrested at the scene of the shooting in the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of East Main Street in Benton.
Bond has been set at $2 million for Lee, who is being held in the Franklin County Jail. Lee was originally being held on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of weapons by a convicted felon.
Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler pronounced Andrews at 11:20 p.m. Friday after she was taken to Franklin Hospital in Benton following the shooting.
Visitation and services for Andrews, who has family ties to Jefferson County, were held Tuesday in Benton.
