MT. VERNON — — Overall test results for the Prairie State Achievement Examination showed declines for three comparable Jefferson County high schools, including Webber Township High School, Woodlawn Community High School and Waltonville High School. This is according to School Report Card data released by the Illinois State Board of Education.
In 2012-2013, 47 percent of Webber Township students met or exceeded state standards on the PSAE, compared to 52 percent the prior year. A total of 45 percent of Woodlawn students met or exceeded the standards in 2012-2013, compared to 57 percent the previous year. And finally 40 percent of Waltonville students met or exceeded the standards in 2012-2013, down from 59 percent the prior year.
