MT. VERNON — Police are investigating a stabbing which allegedly happened during a party in the 400 block of South 15th Street on Wednesday night.
Mt. Vernon Police Department incident logs indicate a stabbing victim was treated at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, as well as a second person with stab and knife wounds to their hands.
According to MVPD Chief Chris Mendenall, the stabbing victim was transported to a St. Louis hospital for treatment of injuries. The department has the incident under investigation at this time, and due to the investigation, no additional details are being released.
