Charges filed:

Amber Shehorn, 31, Texico, was formally charged on Tuesday with felony theft and misdemeanor theft. The felony charge alleges the defendant, as an employee of Fairfield Inn and Suites on Sept. 17 fraudulently accrued reward points intended to be earned by customers and redeemed points for various hotel stays. The misdemeanor charge alleges as an employee of Comfort Suites, the defendant took $251.36 on Jan. 31.

n A bill of indictment was returned Sept. 19 against Christopher M. Broski, 38, of the 500 block of South 19th Street, on a charge of aggravated battery. The charge alleges the defendant threw a brick through a window, breaking glass, causing injury to a child under the age of 13.

n Thurman E. McClain, 47, of the 600 block of South 15th Street, was formally charged Tuesday with failure to register as a sex offender.

n Stephen P. Blackwell, 47, homeless, was formally charged Tuesday with failure to register as a sex offender.

n Allyson K. Piper, 35, Bonnie, was formally charged Tuesday with residential burglary. The charge alleges on July 14 the defendant entered a home in the 700 block of Pavey Avenue with the intent to commit a theft.
