Straeter wedding

Camerin Hunt and Mark Straeter were united in marriage at 4 p.m. on May 17, 2008, at the First Christian Church in Centralia.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy and John White of Virginia Beach and the late Edward Hunt, Jr. She is the granddaughter of the Rev. and Ann Best and Phillip and Dorothy Hunt. The Rev. Dale Best officiated at the ceremony.

The groom is the son of Richard and Rose Marie Straeter of Mt. Vernon. He is the grandson of William and Alice Ann Heitkamp and Lawrence and Marie Straeter.

The bride wore an ivory strapless gown of tulle and lace which was accented with black sequin and lace roses. She carried a round bouquet of white roses which was intertwined by tiny lights.

The maid of honor, Sarah Davis, friend of the bride, wore a black strapless dress. The bridesmaids wore berry taffeta dresses. Bridesmaids were Caitlin and Cayla Hunt, sisters of the bride, and Rebecca Kost and Amanda Lance, friends of the bride and groom.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with chalk stripes and an ivory colored vest with a berry tie.

The best man and groomsmen wore black tuxedos with berry vests and ties. The best man was Rusty Ray, friend of the bride and groom. Groomsmen were Jared Richard and Jeremy Bullock, also friends of the bride and groom, Thomas Rieke and David Schlau, friends of the groom.

The flower girl was Callie Taylor, cousin of the groom. Hayden Richard was the ring bearer.

Annelle Ruemmler provided piano music for the ceremony. She played "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" as the bridesmaids entered. The bride entered to the David Lanz rendition of “Canon In D”.

Jeanette Straeter, sister of the groom sang “Parent’s Prayer” as the mothers were seated. During the Lighting of the Unity Candle she sang "I Will Be Here".

During the ceremony the groom surprised the bride as he sang “This Kind of Love” by Sister Hazel to her.

A buffet dinner reception was held at Bogie's On The Lake at Meadow Woods Country Club following the ceremony.
