Piercy Anniversary

Leroy and Doris Piercy are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 11, 1949, in Palmyra, Mo.

They have six children, Vicki and husband Paul Hurst, Stephen L. Piercy and wife Candace, Judy and husband Wayne Cralley, David L. Piercy and wife the late Kathy, Lisa Hertenstein and Marcie and husband Carl J. Jones.

They have 11 grandchildren, Michael Piercy and wife Mindy, Joshua M. Fields and wife Faryn, Aaron Piercy, the late Ashlee L. Bailey, David L. Piercy II, Gabriel W. Cralley, Emily K. Piercy, Lyle Hertenstein, Westerly A. Jones, Carlie Jo Jones and Amelia Jane Jones.

They have five great-grandchildren, Hannah N., Ross M., Andrew David and Molly L. Piercy and Jackson Fields.

Doris retired from Le Dorable Day Care. Leroy retired from Le Dor Motors. They owned and operated The Burger Barn in Mt. Vernon for 20 years.

Their children are hosting an open house celebration in honor of their anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. at Calvary Church Friendship Center, 406 N. 44th St., in Mt. Vernon on Saturday, Nov. 7.

All friends and relatives are invited to come and help celebrate this special time.
