Zimmerman Anniversary

Don and Martha Zimmerman of Harvel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 22. Donald Zimmerman and the former Martha Rosenberger were married by Dr. Dale Harmon on Dec. 27, 1959, at the First Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.

Don farms in the Harvel area and has been farm manager for Kilton Farms Inc. since 1986. Martha taught home economics at Taylorville High School, retiring in 1978. Since that time she had been active in volunteer activities.

They have two sons, John William (deceased) and Christopher K. and wife Christina of Harvel. They have one granddaughter, Mallory Hope Zimmerman.

Family and friends are invited to an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22, at the Morrisonville Knights of Columbus Hall. It is requested that gifts be omitted. Cards may be sent to Box 200, Harvel, IL 62538.
