---- — Ivan and Frances (Hayes) Staley of Mt. Vernon are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 21, 2013.
Frances Hayes and Ivan Staley were married on Oct. 1, 1953, at the home of the bride’s parents by pastor Roy Beal.
Frances is the daughter of the late Ray and Louise Hayes of Mt. Vernon and Ivan is the son of the late Pete and Edith Staley of Mt. Vernon.
Their family includes a daughter, Susan Davidson and husband David; a son, Jeff Staley and wife Debbie; a son, Jeff “Bud” Lammers; a daugher, Jo Beth Weber and husband Scott all of Mt. Vernon; and a daughter, Karen Wiebler and husband Bill of Ashley. They have eight grandchildren, Dan Davidson and wife Jen of Tolono, Jessica Chang and husband Justin of Carmel, Ind., Abbigail Reynolds and husband Brad of Woodlawn, Allison Dethrow and husband Joey of Carterville, Ben Staley and wife Annie of Bluford, Adam Benden of Austin, Texas, Hannah Weber of Champaign, and Thomas Weber of Mt. Vernon. The Staley’s also have 11 great-grandchildren.
The Staley’s children are hosting an anniversary celebration open house at Zion United Methodist Church on Sunday, Oct. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. Friends and family are welcome. Please omit gifts.
