Ronald “Lloyd” Devoy

Ronald “Lloyd” Devoy, 64, of Enfield, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
He was born in Evansville, Ind., on Aug. 29, 1943, a son of Raymond and Bernice (Blake) Devoy. He married Sue Carter on Dec. 5, 1964, at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro. He was a retired boilermaker, truck driver and farmer.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Father Stephen Rudolphi officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Enfield.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter, Kelly Boggess and husband Junior of Eldorado; son, Roger Devoy and wife Susie of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Heidi Farmer and husband Jon of Harrisburg, Damian Boggess, Gretchen Boggess and Fallon Boggess, all of Eldorado, and Elijah Devoy, Rebecca Devoy and Harley Devoy, all of Enfield; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Sue Farmer and Hallie Belle Boggess; and sisters, Sharon York of McLeansboro and Kathy Metcalf of McLeansboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Dennis Ray Devoy.
Ronald was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Enfield.
