— Jimmy Allen Delaney, 60, of Benton, died at 4:50 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, in his home.
Per request of Mr. Delaney, no public visitation will be held.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Friends and family may call 214-0908 for information.
Mr. Delaney was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, the son of William Robert and Ethel Lucille (Lovin) Delaney.
His daughter, Valerie Dawn and husband Randy Hester of Mt. Vernon survive Mr. Delaney.
He was a retired labor and concrete mason. Mr. Delaney was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Laborers
Local 529 Union in Benton for many years and was later a member of Cement Masons Local 143 Union in Benton.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was always willing to help a friend and enjoyed cooking for his friends.
His parents, a sister, Naomi Delaney; a brother, William Leroy Delaney; and an infant brother preceded Mr. Delaney in death.
