— Danny Morris, 60, of Tolono and formerly of McLeansboro, passed away at 4:53 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born in McLeansboro on Aug. 18, 1947, a son of Todd and Marjorie (Bitting) Morris. He worked as an electrical engineer at the University of Illinois in Champaign. He married Bonnie Kay York on Jan. 6, 1973, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 1993.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Old Springer Cemetery near McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will follow with graveside military rites by McLeansboro American Legion Post 106.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Danny is survived by his father, Todd Morris of St. Francisville; a son, Kevin Morris and wife Vanessa of Melrose Park; a daughter, Kathy Turner and husband Keith of Tolono; a granddaughter, Kylee Turner of Tolono; brother, John Morris of McLeansboro; and sister, Marjorie Clanahan of Brownfield.
