James “Buster” Zimbro, 56, of Sesser, died July 3, 2009, in Marion.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1953, in Ary Kentucky, the son of Mitchell and Ruth (Chaney) Zimbro of Sesser. He married Jackie Robins Zimbro, and would have celebrated 38 years together in November.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Zimbro is survived by his children, Shad and Dana Zimbro of Scheller and Zach and Leigha Zimbro of Marion; his grandchildren, Zoe, Gavin and Zevon Zimbro; his brothers and sisters, Sandy and Rick Basso of Benton, Tim and Janice Zimbro of Florida and Kenny and Maggie Zimbro of Florida; his father and mother-in-law, Robert Dean and June Robbins of Sesser; brother and sister-in-laws, Dennis and Cheryl Robbins, Lisa and George Moore, Todd and Tammy Robbins and Robert and Janet Robbins, all of Sesser; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Zimbro.
Mr. Zimbro was a 20-year member of the UMWA.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with Brother Dale Burzynski and Brother Mark Miller officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.
The body will lie in state at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser after 5 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the MDA and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 625, Sesser, IL.
