— Mary L. Brooks, 68, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 5:24 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with the Rev. Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Hogan Cemetery in Shawneetown.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Thursday prior to services.
