---- — Clell Hall, 81, of Mt. Vernon, died 10:20 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born Thursday, Aug. 6, 1931, in Herrin, the son of Joe E. and Hazel (Anderson) Hall. He married Dorothy Bovay on March 12, 1959, and she preceded him in death on April 8, 1983.Clell service in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from Oct. 18, 1949, until being discharged as an Airman First Class (P) Radio Mechanic on Sept. 1, 1953. Later he worked as an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Administration. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching sports. He is survived by two daughters, Melanie Kelton and husband Kevin of Mt. Vernon and Lori Paton and husband Bob of Peoria; five grandchildren, Adam Bee of Washington, Mike Bee of Peoria, and Brian, Maria and Billy Paton of Peoria; stepgranddaughter, Mirranda Breeze and husband Jay of Bluford; brother, Jerry Hall of Murphysboro; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Eileen Thornton; and three brothers, Joe, Clem and Tom Hall. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Mr. Tim Coonce officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn. The chaplain of Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 141 will conduct a military flag presentation service at the cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
