Barbara J. Modglin Reeves, 65, of Indianapolis, died 2:15 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at St. Vincent Seton Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born March 23, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, to the late Mitch and Barbara Kollintzas. She graduated from Bluford High School in 1966. She worked for 30 years at AT&T in Springfield, starting as an operator then executive assistant, retiring in 1999. She was active with Kiwanis Club and a member of the IBEW Union. She dearly loved her family, spending time with her granddaughters, crocheting, traveling, especially to Branson, Mo., and an occasional trip to a casino to try her luck at the slot machines.
She is survived by son, David and Leslie Reeves of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Sophia and Charlotte Reeves; twin brother, William “Bill” Modglin of Corona, Calif.; sisters, Tina Modglin of Hollywood, Calif. and Debbie and Jack Jenkins of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by a infant granddaughter, Kyler Reeves.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
