Mary L. Street, 82, of Walnut Hill, passed away at 7:42 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1930, in Richview, the daughter of James and Maude (White) Skibinski. On Sept. 30, 1955, in Walnut Hill, she married Bernard Street, and he survives in Walnut Hill.
She graduated from Richview Grade School and Ashley High School and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Orchardville Church. She was also an excellent cook, known for her pies. She never met a stranger.
In addition to her husband, Bernard Street, Mrs. Street is survived by a son, Steve Street and wife Debbie of Walnut Hill; a daughter, Debby Woolbright and husband Kevin of Walnut Hill; six grandchildren, Staci Becker and husband Matt, Shane Street and wife Ashlee, Kimberly Cohen and husband Mike, Steven Street, Jr., J.D. Woolbright and Jennifer Woolbright and special friend Steven Smith; six great-grandchildren, Ryann and Ethan Becker, Avery Street, Cadence and Kynnedi Cohen and Camden Woolbright; two brothers, Phillip Skibinski and Jimmy Skibinski; three sisters, Marjorie Garascia, Frieda Manion and Sherry Redmond and husband David; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Mrs. Street will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with Pastor Mark Shell officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Grove (County Line) Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service begins at noon on Saturday at Osborn Funeral Home.
