Robert “Bobby” George

CENTRALIA — Robert G. “Bobby” George, 54, of Centralia, died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1959, in Centralia, the son of Marion F. George and Joan (Meyer) George. He married Rhonda Ellis and they were later divorced.

Bobby is survived by three brothers, Gary George and wife Jerri of Centralia, Randy George and wife Cindy of Centralia and Billy George and wife Cathy of Shattuc; a sister, Jackie Nelms and husband Bob of Junction City; aunt and uncle, Marilyn and James Taylor of Centralia; a stepson, Brian Ellis of Mt. Vernon; granddaughter, Jaiden Ellis of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Violet Gilmore; and his grandfather, Raymond Meyer.

He had worked at the Walgreens Distribution Center in Mt. Vernon for many years and had earlier in his life done fencing work. Bobby loved hunting, fishing, baseball, NASCAR, going to auctions, and watching Duck Dynasty. He was a loving, loyal and very giving man.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with the Rev. Mark Doane officiating.

Friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements.
