---- — Zola Ann Kiefer Aydt, 81, of Dahlgren and a former resident of Port Orange, Fla., passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, of pneumonia and complications from congestive heart failure. Her sister Georgia and all her loving children were at her bedside for her final days and hours.

Devoted wife of Bernard William Aydt; beloved mother of Michael, Janet (Jim Craig), Kenneth (Kathy), Cathy (Keith Niner), and John; cherished grandmother of Matthew, Jessica, Megan, Rebecca, Cody and Jack and loving great-grandmother of Noah.

She is survived by her sisters, Rea Sue (Roger Stock) and Georgia (Don Donoho) and was preceded in death by her father George; mother Zola; and brothers Bill, Jack and Ronald.

She was our angel on earth and is now in heaven to continue her loving care of her family.

Burial and private service for family and friends will take place in the spring, on a sunny day with the flowers in bloom at her request.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association and the Arbor Day Foundation or the local chapter of the Humane Society.

She had a deep love and nature and the farm country she grew up in and was always a lover of growing things.
