Roy Howard Armes, age 69, of Edgerton, Wis., passed away 11:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Agrace Hospice Care in Madison, Wis.
He was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Lincoln, the son of Roy Hayward Armes and Maxine (Johnstone). He married Martha Janeice (Gajewski) on Oct. 21, 1966, in Hoopeston and she preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2013.
Mr. Armes was a member of the Saint John's Lutheran Church in Janesville, Wis. Roy was a 1963 graduate of Pleasant Plains High School and a 1967 graduate of Millikin University. He worked as a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
Mr. Armes is survived by his mother, Maxine Armes of Edgerton; son, Chris Armes of Edgerton; daughter, Gretta Albrecht and husband Chris Capaldo of Ames, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jude Albrecht, Sal Capaldo and Andrea Capaldo; and also his sister, Judy Nichols and husband Jerry of Litchfield, Ky.
He was preceded in death by her father, Roy Hayward Armes and wife, Martha Janeice Armes
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville with Pastor Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville.
