Norma Faye (Creswell) Miller, 87, of McLeansboro, passed away 6 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
She was born May 27, 1926, in Stoy, the daughter of James Samuel Creswell and Chloeteal (Matthews) Creswell. She married Emerson E. “Buck” Miller in July 1947.
Norma worked at the Pools Bargain Center and Victor Dana in Robinson. She was a housewife. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church of Robinson. Norma was a member of the White Shrine and the Eastern Star. Norma graduated from Oblong High School in 1945.
She is survived by three children, Karin (Glenn) Miller, Debbie (David) Campbell and Craig (Connie) Miller; one sister, Carol Russell of Artesia, N.M.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Douglas C. Miller; one brother; and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with the Rev. Fred Leeds officiating. A visitation will be held preceding the service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Robinson Cemetery in Robinson.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Ainad Temple Shriners Hospital for Children.
