Norman Williams Jr., 66, of Bonnie, passed away Friday, June 29, 2013, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born April 20, 1947, in Alton, to Norman Sr. and Alfreda (Jolliff) Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a claims representative for Social Security. He liked to play jokes, do magic and make people laugh. He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who had an opportunity to know him.
He is survived by his son, Brian Williams of Belleville; daughter, Kate Williams of Mt. Vernon; sister, Julie McVey of Wood River; grandson, BJ Williams; significant other Linda True; nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Greg and Jeff Williams; and a niece, Elise McVey.
Cremation services were provided by Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto with Father Tom Liebler as celebrant.
