---- — Stanley M. Roe, 73, of Kansas, passed away March 6, 2014.
Stanley was born Aug. 15, 1940, the son of Eugene Munsell Roe and Mary Elizabeth Roe.
He served in the U.S. Army from June 1960 to 1963.
He lived in California where he worked at McDonald Computers before retiring in 2006 and moving to Mt. Vernon.
Stanley is survived by a sister, Myrna Curtis and husband Dell of California; brother, Jack Roe and wife Dianne of California; two daughters, Jackie Starr and husband Bruce of Colorado and Lori Roe-Ryan of Mt. Vernon; son-in-law, Matt Gudermuth of Mt. Vernon; grandson, Nick Bright of Florida; and granddaughters, Raven, Rhiannon and Regina Gudermuth, all of Mt. Vernon; in-laws, Mary Rose and Jerry Wright of Mt. Vernon; and four nieces and one nephew.
He enjoyed taking his dog, “Lil’ Bit” to the park and enjoyed taking care of his three granddaughters and had many friends.
A service will be held 11:15 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at area “C” at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
