Winston D. Tate, age, 78, of Greenville, S.C., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Greenville, S.C.
Mr. Tate was born the son of Arnold and Catherine (Simmons) Moss Tate. He married Donna Brame and she survives in Greenville, S.C.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his six children, Paul McBride of Marion, Joe Tate of Colorado, Cathy Brown and husband Roy of Florida, Cindy Sierra of Florida, Hope Visconte and husband Mark of Virginia and Paula McBride of Knoxville, Tenn; six grandchildren; and one half-sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one half-brother.
Mr. Tate was a member of the Hampton Heights Baptist Church and an avid Florida State fan. He had served his country in the United States Army as a military policeman. After the army he served as a civilian policeman and a volunteer fireman. He was the owner of Wealth Concepts of Greenville.
Graveside services for Winston D. Tate will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Zion Grove/County Line Cemetery near Kell. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the graveside.
