Bill Eastham

---- — William F. “Bill” Eastham, age 78, of Woodlawn, passed away 5:25 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at his home in Woodlawn.

Bill was born July 27, 1935, in Washington, Pa., a son of William F. and Ada K. (Perrino) Eastham. He married Donna L. (Poland) on May 28, 1955, in Washington, Pa., and she survives in Woodlawn.

Mr. Eastham was vice president of operations for Roberts and Schaefer Construction Company where he worked from 1957 until his retirement in 1990. He later started his own consulting firm Hands On. Bill attended the West Long Prairie Christian Church. He was a lifetime member of the Frank Nowland AMVETS post 148 Waltonville. He had served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was a member of the Sesser Goode Masonic Lodge 744 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of the Ainad Shrine in East Saint Louis and the Jefferson County Shrine Club. He was a member of Green Hills Golf Club in Mt. Vernon.

Bill is survived by his wife, Donna L. Eastham of Woodlawn; children, Shlonda Horton and special friend Mark Stubbins and his daughter Haven Conner of Woodlawn, Bill Eastham and wife Robin of Waltonville, Sabrina Wheatley and special friend Jerry Hale of Jupiter, Fla. and Webb Eastham and wife Lori of Waltonville; grandchildren, Seneca Horton-Tate and husband Colter of Collinsville, Willie Eastham and wife Jessica of Waltonville, Elizabeth Eastham of Waltonville, Salina Hilliard and husband Shane of Grand Chain, Brock Wheatley of Tunnell Hill and Sophie Eastham of Waltonville; great-grandchildren, Carson Tate, Carter Barnes, Lilyanne Eastham, Huntley, Drake, and Payton Hilliard; sister, Louise Diett of Washington, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Wayman Thomas Eastham; two sisters, Loreina Bell and Doris Hughes; and two brothers, Frank Eastham and John Eastham.

Funeral services for William F. “Bill” Eastham will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Carlton Binkley officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
