---- — Mary Ann Hussong, 91, of Winchester and formerly of Champaign and Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 15, 2013, at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of the late William Krekel Owen and Ina Elizabeth Ready Owen.
She married Harold W. Hussong Jr. on Feb. 12, 1944, in Mt. Vernon. He preceded her in death April 1, 2011.
Mary Ann graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and attended SIU at Carbondale. She worked as the office manager for the Institute for Personality and Ability Testing in Champaign until her retirement. She was an accomplished musician and served as a church organist and pianist for many years. She was also a member of the Etude Club in Champaign, the Winchester United Methodist Church and loved to cook for her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Charles Craver) of Winchester and her son, William (Linda Kwiatek) of Frontenac, Mo.
A private family service will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Mt. Vernon.
