Lex Anderson II, 61, of McLeansboro, passed away at 10:14 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, as a result of an oilfield accident.
He was born Oct. 3, 1952, in McLeansboro, the son of Warner Hughey Anderson and Doris Jean (Tyler) Anderson.
He was a self employed oil producer. He was co-owner of Sunrise Exploration for over 30 years with Kenny Lankford. Lex was a member of the Class of 1970.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Anderson of McLeansboro; uncle J.D. Tyler of McLeansboro; and cousins, Marti Martin (husband Don) of Midlothian, Texas, “CB” Martin (wife Sharon) of Bluford, Janet Mitchell of Valmeir, Kimberly Tyler Tremmel (husband Ron) of Trenton, Pat Lee and husband Doyle of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Terry Kikendall of Palm Bay, Fla. and Andy Bethel of O’Fallon.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Bill Reed officiating. Interment will be at IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
