Steven Marshall Lundegreen, 72, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born in Amarillo, Texas on Feb. 26, 1940, the son of Dock Howard and Thelma Theasta (Holler) Lundegreen.
He married Dena Mae Snow on April 5, 1963, in Mt. Vernon and she survives.
Mr. Lundegreen was of the Baptist faith. He was a boilermaker, working out of the local 363. He was a veteran, serving in the Navy.
Mr. Lundegreen is survived by his wife, Dena Mae Lundegreen of Mt. Vernon; two children, Marshall Lundegreen (Michelle) of Mt. Vernon and Tammy Censky (Mike) of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Michael and Brandon Censky and Landen and Kentan Lundegreen; sister, Marlene Cooper (Darrell) of Amarillo, Texas; brothers and sisters in-law Cleatis Snow (Shirley) of Mt. Vernon, Charles Snow of Bonnie and Albert Braddy (Nancy) of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lundegreen was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law David Turner and wife Mary; and one sister-in-law, Velma Snow.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina.
Military rites will be conducted by Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 141. Visitation for Mr. Lundegreen will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Johnston Funeral Home.
