Robert Wesley “Bob” Ratliff, 72, of Mt. Vernon, died Sept. 13, 2013, in Ocala, Fla. He was born July 2, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, the son of William Henry and Eloise Elona (Hofer) Ratliff. Bob served our country in the United States Marine Corps in 1959 and 1960. He worked as a self-employed salesman. He loved to travel and managed to visit the entire United States through his travels. He enjoyed meeting and talking to people and was a very gifted story teller. He is survived by daughter, Christy Baxter of Nampa, Idaho; ex-wife, Diana Hunter of Nampa, Idaho; two brothers, Jim Ratliff and wife Wanda of Mt. Vernon and William Ratliff; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In honor of Bob’s wishes, he was creamted and no public services will be held.
