David Logan

Mr. David “Doc” Logan of Ashley, departed this life at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at 5:50 p.m. He had attained the age of 74 years, one month and four days.

Mr. Logan was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Cobden, the son of Wilmer and Bealuh (Nance) Logan. He was united in marriage to Bernadine Borowiak on July 3, 1978, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom; she preceded him in death April 5, 2008.

David was a member of the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver for many years until his retirement. David was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom and the American Legion Post 110 in Nashville. HE loved going to flea markets, auctions and playing cards.

Left to mourn his passing are four children, Vicky Radake and husband Michael of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Karen Flanigan and husband Ed of Ashley, Eric Logan and wife Dana of Southside, Tenn., and Dawn Lively and husband Michael of Percy; 13 grandchildren, Nicole Meadows, Erica Elrod, Amber Kellerman, Joshua Logan, Kyle Radake, Natasha HAltenhoff, Ashley Flanigan, Erin Flanigan, Michael Lively Brittany Heisner, Jordan Flanigan, Travis Lively and Chance Logan; 14 great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Maygen, Chloe, Raygen, Trenton, Luke, Addilyn, Cameron, Alyssa, Abby, Maura, Lily, Wesley and Emma; four brothers, Robert Logan and wife Judy, James Logan and wife Peggy, Melvin Logan and wife Sally and Rodney Logan and wife Geneva; a sister, Roberta Muir and husband William; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a sister, Dorothy; two brothers, Cecil and Wilmer Jr.; and two brothers in infancy.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., with Father Dale Maxfield officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 110 of Nashville.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight and on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be given to the Nashville American Legion Post 110 or to St. Michael Catholic Church and will be accepted at Campagna Funeral Home.
