Annalee Hall, 91, formerly of McLeansboro, died 3:07 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Care in Carmi.
She was born July 2, 1921, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Joseph and Inez (Thompson) Morris. She married Alfred Hall on May 12, 1941, and he preceded her in death.
She worked as a welder during WWII making LST ships in Evansville, Ind. She loved buying and selling antiques. She loved her family, church and music. She was a member of Cherry Street General Baptist Church in Carmi.
She is survived by son, Alfred Joseph (Joe) (wife Iona) Hall of Carmi; five grandchildren, Tim Hall of Evansville, Ind., Leanna (husband Don) Cruse of Carmi, Melissa (husband Jim) Bell of Crossville, Kim (husband Rev. Mark) Tate of Norris City and Cindy (special friend, Craig Welch) Mitchell of Carmi; brother, Mr. Joe (wife Mary Ann) Morris of McLeansboro; sister, Ms. Sue Estes of Carbondale; sister-in-law, Faye Morris of Dahlgren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins, including special niece, Phyllis Ann Giles who helped care for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Donald Morris; and sister, Ruby Hamilton.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Lowes Browning, the Rev. Bill Duncan and the Rev. Mark Tate officiating. Interment will be at IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
