Lutisha Mae Rollins, 70, of Mt. Vernon, passed away 3:09 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Crossroads Community Hospital.
Born April 19, 1942, she was the daughter of Northern and Retta (Newcomb) Woods.
She served as a unit secretary at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital for 25 years, and previously worked at Jefferson Memorial Hospital as a head dietitian.
She is survived by her former husband, Robert Rollins Sr.; her children, Lisa Gladney, Eugenia (Kevin) Rollins, Rodney (Rochelle) Rollins, Janice (Emerson) Henderson and Shannon Gordon, all of Mt. Vernon; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Tommy Woods of Milwaukee, Earl Woods and David Woods of Mt. Vernon and Larry (Hortense) Woods of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jr.; her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Services for Lutisha Rollins will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evangelistic Outreach Christian Center. Pastor Garry Moore and Elder Alan Rudd will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn.
