William “Bill” Voliva, age 79, of Pocahontas, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
He was born July 2, 1933, in Dahlgren. He married Bonnie B. (Dale) Voliva; she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gordon L. (Deanna) Voliva of Pocahontas; daughters, Phyllis A. (John) Shockley of Troy, Karen S. (John) Onderko of Troy and Donna M. (Mark) Pottorff of Troy; and a brother, Franklin (Crystal) Voliva of Ava.
He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Voliva; his mother, Suzanne C. (Fulkerson) Voliva; brothers, Charles Ray Voiva, James Richard Voliva and Joab Voliva; and a sister, Martha Sue Voliva.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at New Life Christian Fellowship Christian Church in Hamel, with David Denton, pastor of Bethesda Baptist Church of Granite City, officiating. Interment will be at Middle Creek Cemetery in Dahlgren at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Visitation will beheld from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, at New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Hamel and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
