William “Bill” Schuster, 88, of McLeansboro, passed away at 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Hamilton Memorial Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in McLeansboro.
Mr. Schuster was a retired farmer.
He was born Aug. 3, 1925, in McLeansboro, a son of Aloyious Joseph and Rose Marie (Bakel) Schuster.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis. Deacon Archie Bowers will perform the service.
Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Piopolis, with McLeansboro American Legion Post 106 providing graveside military rites.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Survivors include several cousins.
Mr. Schuster was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Clyde Schuster.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
