Nadine Miller

---- — Carmen Nadine Miller, age 92, of Centralia, died at 12:28 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 201,3 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

She was born March 12, 1921, in Centralia the daughter of Manzie “Dutch” and Ada (Ford) Gregory. Nadine married Earl Leroy Miller Aug. 5, 1939. in St. Charles, Mo.; he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2003.

Nadine is survived by two daughters, Carmen Nolte and husband James of Iuka and Kathryn Elliott of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Charles Lee Gregory and wife Vivian of Dix; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Miller of Salem; six grandchildren, Greg Miller, Christine DeBoard, Scott Nolte, David Kingsley, Greg Kingsley and Jennifer Ferguson; 10 great-grandchildren; and also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, David Miller; a grandson, Timothy Nolte; a great-grandson, Kyle Ferguson; a sister, Patricia Owens; and son-in-laws David Kingsley and Roger Elliott.

Nadine was a member of the Church of Christ located on Illinois Highway 161 East, and a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and housewife, and had in her earlier years worked at the Hollywood Candy Factory, and the Jefferson County Sale Barn.

Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 28, at the Church of Christ, Illinois Highway 161 East, with minister Stephen Nail officiating. Interment followed at Boyd Cemetery.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Church of Christ, the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Assiciation, and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements.
