---- — William Bruce Dill, 57, of Bluford, died 4:31 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at his home in Bluford.
He was born Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1955, in Carmi, the son of William Leroy and Estalee (Williams) Dill. He married Barbara Russell on June 18, 1980, in Carmi.
William served our country in the United States Navy. He worked as an electrician for National Railway. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dill of Bluford; two daughters, Barbie Smith and husband Michael L. Smith, Jr. of Bluford and Angie Reynolds and husband Shaun of Mill Shoals; son, Timothy Ray Millenbine and wife Misty of McLeansboro; 11 grandchildren, Travis Smith and significant other Amber Philips of Mt. Vernon, Kelsey Smith of Bluford, Jesse Smith of Bluford, Lina Reynolds and significant other Matt Cline of Mill Shoals, Harley Reynolds of Mill Shoals, Barbara Millenbine of McLeansboro, Matthew Millenbine of McLeansboro, Michael Parker of McLeansboro, Laythan Green of McLeansboro, Kayliegh Green of McLeansboro and Kaysea Wells of McLeansboro; six great-grandchildren, Colten and Jace Smith, McKinley Johnson, Melody Shackleford, Trinity Cline and Jayla Flynn; brother, Kenneth Dill and wife Connie of Carmi; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal english bulldog companion, Meathead.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roger Dill; one grandson, Mark Edward Millenbine; and loyal dog, Tinkerbell.
In honor of William’s wishes, following the visitation he will be cremated.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Attendees are encouraged to wear camouflage in honor of William.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Dill family (please make checks payable to Barbara Dill) and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.
