---- — Sandra D. Bowman, 67, of Mt. Vernon, died 3:20 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, Ind.
She was born Aug. 10, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of John William and Hazel Neoma (Wolgamott) Harden. She married Robert L. Bowman on Aug. 6, 2009, in Las Vegas. Sandra was a homemaker, an avid quilter and a member of Quilt Guild of Mitchell Museum.
She is survived by her mother, Hazel Harden of Mt. Vernon; husband, Robert L. “Bob” Bowman of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Michael Barroclough and wife Lori of Pala Verdes Estates, Calif. and David Barroclough and wife Diane of San Diego; three grandchildren, Sarah, Brenden and Eric Barroclough; sister, Peggy James and husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon; two stepchildren, David Bowman of California City, Calif. and Cathy Bowman of Santa Clarita Valley, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Jeff Fernberg officiating. In honor of her wishes, she was cremated and no visitation will be held.
