Kevin M. Schutte, 57, of Mahomet, passed away Saturday evening, June 21, 2014, at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
Kevin was born on May 2, 1957, in Mt. Vernon, to Don and Nancy Schutte. He married Pam Redpath on May 26, 1979, in Mt. Vernon.
Together they had three sons, Ryan, Seth (wife Colleen) and Kyle, all residents in Mahomet. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy; stepfather, JD Smith; sister, Kathleen Ray and her husband Keith of Woodland; in-laws, Howard and Sondra Redpath; brother-in-law, Jim Redpath; and sister-in-law, Diane Johnson of Mt. Vernon; along with his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don; his maternal grandparents, Earl and Jennie Corder; and paternal grandparents, Frank (Fat) and Susie Duncan.
Kevin graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School and received his associates degree from Rend Lake College and his bachelor of science degree in applied computer science from Illinois State University. Kevin worked as a consultant for NTT Data as a technical support analysis specializing in Lawson Software.
Kevin was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Oakland Raiders. He also enjoyed coaching and watching his three boys play sports. He also loved weekends golfing with friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive W. in Savoy. A memorial service will follow visitation at 7 p.m.
