Pearl Lee Burnett, age 72, of Springfield, was called back home, 1:08 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.
Pearl was born June 5, 1942, in Morgan City, Miss., the daughter of Willie and Mary Francis (Willis) McCain. She married Harrison Burnett and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Pearl is survived by her children, Larry Bell and wife Denise of Mt. Vernon and Kimila and husband Jack E. Daniels III of Waunakee, Wis.; four brothers; three sisters; five grandchildren, Dedrick Bell, Wesley Bell, Emily Yuncker, Kweston Bell and Faith Bell; three great-grandchildren; and also a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Burnett; son, Stennis Bell; granddaughter, Demetra Bell; two brothers; and three sisters.
Graveside services for Pearl Burnett will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn with Pastor Arthur Lee Dotson officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens on Wednesday.
