William Arthur “Bill” Hussong, 62, of Frontenac, Mo., and formerly of Minneapolis, Minn., Champaign and Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2014, at his home in Frontenac.
He was born Aug. 6, 1951, in Mt. Vernon, a son of Harold W. Hussong Jr. and Mary Ann (Owen) Hussong.
Bill graduated from Champaign Central High School and the University of Illinois. Music, sports and computers were important to him throughout his life.
He was accomplished as a trombone player and enjoyed participating in volleyball.
He was a beloved son, brother, partner, spouse, parent, grandparent, co-worker, neighbor and friend.
He is survived by his domestic partner, Linda Kwiatek of Frontenac; his previous wife, Marge Albrecht; stepdaughter, Christa Owens; and grandson, Julian Thomas, all of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn.; his sister, Jeanne Hussong Craver and husband Charles of Winchester; uncle, Dale Hussong and wife Tillie of St. Louis; and cousins and their extended families. He is mourned by all. At the time of his death, he worked for Siemens AG in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), where he leaves many friends around the world. No services were held. Bill requested his ashes be taken to Gooseberry Falls State Park in northern Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
