Ramona Sandusky, 51, of McLeansboro, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on July 3, 1961, in Trenton, N.J., the daughter of Arthur Edmond Young Jr. and Mary (Wolf) Zachman. She married Fred C. Sandusky on Aug. 18, 1978, in McLeansboro, who survives in McLeansboro.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeremy Sandusky and Jason Sandusky and wife Evana of McLeansboro; one granddaughter, Jaycee Sandusky of McLeansboro; one grandson, Elijah Sandusky of McLeansboro; one sister, Michelle Cox of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Art Young of McLeansboro, Eric Zachman and wife Brandy of Mt. Vernon, and Chad Zachman of Marshall; stepfather, Gary Zachman of Thackery; mother-in-law, Bonnie Sandusky of McLeansboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ramona was employed as the manager of Bath & Body Works in Mt. Vernon. She loved playing with grandchildren, riding on “Harley” with Fred, and she loved working with co-workers. She attended Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
