Fern (Gray) Prince, 92, of McLeansboro, passed away at 6:25 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Fern was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Walpole, to Shannon O'Neal Gray and Julia Ann (Davis) Gray. She married Gerald Prince on Feb. 12, 1942; he preceded her in death on May 17, 2004.
Survivors include one son, Jerry G. Prince (Judy) of McLeansboro; one granddaughter, Julie Ann Prince of McLeansboro; two brothers, William H. Gray of Dale and Ralph O. Gray (Joan) of Eldorado; one sister-in-law, Jo Ann Gray of McLeansboro; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one special aunt, Malinda Davis; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Eugene Craddock; one brother, Robert D. Gray; one sister-in-law, Helen Gray; a niece, Haleen Oldham; and one great-nephew, Jordan Gray.
Fern was of the Protestant faith and was a homemaker.
Services will be held 11 a.m. today in McLeansboro at Gholson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Gholson Funeral Home.
